Melissa Dominguez
(ENG) As a proud Chicana, business owner, and resident, I am passionate about uplifting our community as we move forward. With my strong familial and ancestral values, I believe in the power of community and listening to its members to find solutions.
Active Engagement in Our City:

Organized and advocated for food insecurity programs to for our senior and disabled citizens.

Collaborated with my husband to establish a supportive space for local artists and entrepreneurs to nurture their talents and businesses.

Served as a steadfast steward of the El Paso Greenway, contributing to the growth of green spaces in South Tucson.

Coordinated impactful initiatives such as back-to-school drives, Thanksgiving food baskets, and Christmas gift giveaways, reaching over 160 South Tucson youth and families.
My dedication to serving the City of South Tucson is unwavering, and I am committed to providing trustworthy and reliable leadership for our residents. Together, let’s forge a path toward a stronger and more vibrant future for our community.
1. What is the biggest problem facing South Tucson right now?
The biggest problem facing South Tucson at present is the need for comprehensive and equitable community development. As a vibrant and diverse city, we need to address issues such as economic disparities, access to essential services, and sustainable urban planning to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to thrive and contribute to our collective progress.
2. What are your priorities, if elected?
If elected, my priorities would revolve around fostering inclusive growth, advocating for social justice, and implementing sustainable practices in South Tucson. I aim to prioritize community engagement, economic empowerment, and the nurturing of a safe and welcoming environment for all residents. By focusing on these key areas, we can work together to build a stronger and more resilient city.
3. Why do you believe you are qualified to lead the city of South Tucson?
I believe I am qualified to lead the city of South Tucson due to my deep-rooted commitment to our community, my track record of advocacy and service, and my ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to effect meaningful change. With a background in community based work, project management and as a small business owner, I am prepared to listen to the voices of our residents, address challenging issues with empathy and diligence, and work tirelessly to create a future where everyone in South Tucson can thrive.

Tim Escobedo
PUBLIC POLICY PRIORITIES
There are a few priorities that need to be addressed. Police Department needs assistance to upgrade their equipment (radios to communicate with various law enforcement jurisdictions, vehicles, up to date computers}. Homelessness needs to be addressed, Our streets need to be cleaned, so that our city is presentable. Abanoded building need to be secured or demolished. Develop communications with business developers. Work on removing the stereotype of what others think it is. Listen more to our residents of their concerns. Work with staff to identify concerns. Develop relationships with other jurisdiction's.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Tim brings a wealth oh experience as a former Planning and Zoning Commissioner and Council Member Town of Marana, Pima County Housing Commissioner, Community advocate and leader. Urban planning, community development, intricacies of local government operations. Developed relationships at the national, regional, state county and local jurisdiction's.
